Here's proof that Xeriscapes don't have to be boring! These homeowners challenged convention by having us design a completely turfless landscape for their compact back yard. The combination of meandering pathways and raised beds bursting with greenery  transforms this landscape into a private retreat with a surprise around every corner. No need for a lawn here!

Even the area under the deck was given a purpose with the addition of a cafe table and some privacy plantings to screen the neighbors.

This darling home presented a bit of a design challenge as the narrow backyard offered a porch that walked out to a steep hill. We used moss rock boulders to retain the hill and give the yard a little more depth. The slope made a water feature a perfect fit and it remains the homeowners' favorite element in the yard.

Believe it or not, this yard is a colorful, moderate maintenance, xeriscape; proof that you don't have to settle for a desert landscape to have the water savings.

To bring some of the Mediterranean feel of this Tuscan style home outdoors, we incorporated the flagstone hardscapes in a similar color palette to that of the indoor courtyards.

The homeowner delights in her densely planted perennials which evoke a cottage garden feel to this meticulously maintained landscape.

The owners of this gorgeous custom estate wanted a landscape that would both compliment the unique architecture and evoke the lush green feel of Florida. They love the sweeping expanses of lawn & climbing vines we included in their design. Avid golfers, they later added a putting green.

The large planted berm & water feature at the back helps shield the residents from any minor road noise.

When the owners of this gorgeous property rescued it from years of neglect, they wanted a landscape that would preserve their views of the mountains, while blocking the views of their neighbors. We helped them achieve their dream landscape with berms and large evergreens for the year-round screening effect, and by incorporating some strategic landscape lighting to enhance the visual barrier.

The water feature in the back yard truly enhances the beautiful sanctuary-feel of the yard and it attracts a variety of local wildlife.
